Not a mere love

Love songs pouring out like sweet honey 

Rose's Reds are much sought after 

Sweets ! Can't forget those for a night to remember 

These rituals of celebrating one thing called LOVE .

Often ...

Valentine's Day means ,

The last vestige of love worth fighting for .

Erasing betrayals for this one wonderful night of love .

Forgiving cantankerous feeling of love .

And many other facets of love .

I am wishing ...

No other kind of love than the one you have for me .

No rituals needed to woo me .

Let it be only our plain old love 

Let it be only you and I 

To celebrate this love we have 

Not just a mere Valentine's Day kind of love !

I love the way you turned the whole thing on its head Mary. The rest of the year should be special and this day ordinary in a manner of speaking because when the hoo-haa has died we are left with empty choccy boxes, mouldy water in a vase and smelly flowers and cards that may or may not be recyclable. Then what..? Thats when actual love - not shop-bought love kicks in - or should kick in.
