The Crimson Rose

The Crimson Rose

A Poem by Meg
"

Quatrian style poem

"

Upon his chest I lay my crimson rose

While fading sunlight warns of ending day.

Alone he lies in eternal repose.

My grief no words of comfort can allay.

His too short life has come now to a close.

I cannot bear to tear myself away

From him who heaven’s great pleasure now knows

And will forever in deep, cold earth lay
