THE LAST ONE

THE LAST ONE

A Poem by Miguel
"

When everything else has died.

"

Gargoyle of FLESH

Perched atop the IRON PRECIPICE.

Why does it look below with such sorrow?

Tarmac underbelly

Forlorn and forgotten

By lost wanderers

Of a lost race.

Forest of CONCRETE

Tower over the dead.

Empty.

Empty.

And lifeless.

This is no life for it.

Sink through the air

D

O

W

N

Over transparent paned ice

COLLIDE.

FLESH of eternity

Unscathed and unliving.

They are all dead.

Everyone.

EVERYTHING.

But the gargoyle of FLESH

Perched atop the IRON PRECIPICE.

[the last one.]

Wow I don't even know how to respond to this, amazing poem intricate and almost musical like it makes you feel though it's obviously a more self relevating poem than emotional but great work.
