A Poem by Amelia Falcone

Fatal shock sent through my veins,
My last thought as life drains.
Wonder in this final hour,
If your pain will devour.
In waking hours remember me,
Or my face will haunt your dreams.
The star of the shadows takes center stage,
Your full attention I have engaged.
Death is now my final release,
The only way to bring me peace.
Your peace will now be shattered,
Broken, bruised, torn, and battered.
Your mind will contemplate suicide,
You cannot live while I have died.
Agony will fill your soul,
As your mind has lost control.
Regret will be your only thought,
Memories will make you distraught.
Let the darkness set you free,
Join me now in eternity.

I love love love "Let the darkness set you free, Join me now in eternity." Your writing is very interesting, your poems always make me think someone is reciting them as they die, or their ghost perhaps; haunting. I wonder also if the narrator is death... This poem also makes me think of a tornado the way it feels like it is whirling yet ordered to a certain quiet center. Lovely and ghastly.
