I Remember...

I remember the small trail of my footprints in the sandy ash,

following my mother who ran desperately away from the thick gray arms of the Monster behinde us.

I remember eating a yummy meal only mear hours before,

the taste of the spagetti still lingering on my tongue.

I remember the unrestranceable heat the wrapped around my body as I followed my mother down the countless of stairs,

my little legs screaming in pain,

I remember the pure panic in the eyes of the strangers as they let my mother and I pass.

AMAZING POEM. Loved the emotion in this. September 11th 2001 was the MOST heartbreaking days that the world ever did see. Megan this is wonderful. Keep writing, and show the world what you've got to offer.

Very wonderful poem. Your word choice is very powerful and compelling. I FEEL the words as I read them, and it's a lot harder to learn to put emotion behind your writing than it is to learn the mechanics of it. As I said, very well-written poem.

Beautiful written, so powerful, as you saw it all happen, and experianced it through your seven years old eyes... well done.

Very powerful. So many lives have been affected, so many people have a recalling of the event. But everyone's story is unique.

Produced perfection, a well thought out plan of mere excellence and the imagery is the most studded here, well done, great read.
