To bloom hope in me

To bloom hope in me

A Poem by melanie j bean

                        To bloom hope in me

I was broken and blind floating on a river wide.

Despair laughed in the depths of what I could be.

Experience thundered in with decades of strife,

Gentle rain and warm sun I desire in serenity,

       to bloom hope in me...

Pulling, tilling, pounding and digging.

Who knew I would be a landscaper of my own soul?

Pushing, filling, grounding and lifting.

The planting of ones heart is done just so,

       to bloom hope in me...

For perfect rows of happy thoughts to grow,

I must weed out the poisonous ememy of doubt.

To search for rest in Gods beautiful rainbow,

such is this garden of my soul I sought out,

       to bloom hope in me...

Its a short yet beautiful piece. The last stanza is my favourite one. The 3rd line mentions a word 'stife' which I did not understand. Perhaps you meant 'strife'. Overall a very nice poem.
Thank you for sharing it with us. All the best
