Shelter me from the Wind

Shelter me from the Wind

A Poem by melanie j bean
"

This I wrote to my husband over 15 years ago, and we've ridden many a storm together and this still holds true to my heart, God bless my righteous husband!

"

Shelter me from the wind

This love I feel for you is so dedicated.

Dedicated to life long suppport.

I am reaching out delicately, my soft wings faded,

like a mystic rose garden in an ancient resort.

Feed me your dreams and I will grow spiritually.

Feed me your tears and I will show mine tenderly.

Feed me your heart and I will know serenity.

Feed me your love and I will hold you eternally.

My love for you is strong and pure.

I will stand by you proudly.

I will continue to make sure

our life flows soundly.

All my intent is purely devotion.

So you see my prince,

I give you all my soul and all my emotion,

Upon your horse you came and have stayed every since.

Take me to your sacred place

that you hold so close within.

Look into my eyes, my face

and Shelter me from the Wind.

Lovely and romantic.

This is positively romantic. I mean that as a style and form and not simply the content. It sounds like a nineteenth century piece with allusions to knights in shining armor, and the repetition follows the pattern of much popular poetry of that era. I like this very much. I'm a bit of a romantic artist myself. :o)

A wonderful tribute to you husband. Something to be said for marriages that last even 15 years these days. I have been married for almost 30, myself! Congratulations!
