Angel of Death

Angel of Death

A Poem by Saki Kikkio
"

Freezing to death

"
Frosted wind cutting through skin
Powder white filling sight
Abundant shiver, electrify feeling
Hopeless despair blanket the crystal ground

I lay to sleep
Slow warmth spreads
Allowing the slow demise of
Mind and body in the euphoria snow

What is this touch
A foreign object to reawaken
Strong arms to carry
Who could bring back life

As I,
A frozen corpse
Am lifted,
My eyes wander

Down below I lay
Blue lips
Glass eyes
Ice skin

A blanket of bliss
Wraps me in calm
For an angel of death
Now takes me to the world beyond
