HOPE

about someone barely hanging on

And the smile is slowly fading,

To be seen in the eyes no more,

With no one to empathize,

No one truly understands.

 

Happy faces all around you,

What can they do but make you sadder,

As the tears threaten to roll down,

Sympathy is all you get.

 

Sadly, a moment of repose,

To reflect,

Wondering the point of it all.

But,

Hoping on a hope with all its bleakness,

And trusting God,

Because with Him knows no bounds.
