Trauma is a little girl With big eyes and bobbed hair a little girl with

so much to give but no one to offer it to a little girl with

hopes and dreams crushed like the bones in her body they liked to call her

fragile and weak but really,

she was made of stone walls she had erected in their place her last line of defense to the offense of punches, vicious words and taunts "stop crying" another brick in the fort the halls are dark and cavernous yet to be penetrated by a soul she feels comfort in the silence in the predictability of routine chaos is her demon she fears it more than all it lingers just outside the walls whispering words through the cracks and windows begging her to come out and risk it all once more sometimes she listens and the demon burns her leaving marks among her skin in slices and cuts bone deep she crawls back to solace to her ivory throne and screams out into

the abyss no one hears her cries, but still she tries in the form of long lost hints and love letters aimed at people who could never give her

what she seeks cos what she seeks is deep inside her moulded to the floor by layers of dirt and grit buried beneath painful memories that make her cry and she remembers her words "stop crying" and weakness is imminent another brick in the wall to show them that she is strong but trauma is a little girl and little girls don't belong in palaces of stone little girls belong in flower fields with song and dance adventure the little girl peeks out of her window at a life just out of her reaches she could join them only if she knew how cos the demon lurks her walls and she returns to the recluse never to be seen again
