clutching what's left of you

clutching what's left of you

A Poem by micayla4

Why do you do it?

I ask myself that question too

Why do you

can I trust you

I see how blue to me is black to you

how trust to me is broken to you

I see how you hurt them

how you do things you know aren't right

but yet you do them anyway

I see how shattered you are

how unfixable you think your heart is

How many years has it been

how long have you walked around

as pieces of you fell apart

who did this to you

who destroyed you so much that you try to destroy yourself

you coud be the one boy that could save me from it all

but first you have to save yourself

how can you fix me

this shattered mess of a girl

if you too are ripped apart.

i sit here holding you

I watch you clutch my shirt trying to forget it all

I sit here watching you

asking these questions in my head

yet i never act on them

maybe you could leave it all behind

that boy you used to be

because right now

this person breathing into my shirt

this is the person you truly are

so lets stay here tonight

let us forget all these questions in our minds

because you and I might be mess

but at least we can be a mess together
