"

feed them on the colour of image, make them know.

"

Lay down lines in provocative fullness

painted in the color of bold; voice,

verisimilitude and vigor

are your brushes.

Take mild emotion, blurred, broken

and anemic, paint it loudly

and drive it far beyond

the quickening clouds.

Define transverse thoughts

as lines of salient senses

and chain them deep within

un-impassioned hearts.

Rise far and beyond any

dull vernacular. Your

lines are of folded steel;

take the head from insipidity.

Then make your words known.

Well thought out and written. This poem is something all writers here should notice.

Rise far and beyond any
dull vernacular.

I agree.

Nice work.

This is like a call to arms, a roadmap, a promise. And a request too. An inspiring poem. There were many lines that I went over and over. There' magic in " Rise far and beyond any dull vernacular." And then third stanza is simply outstanding. Very well written.

Thankyou, Abhra. - a call to arms, yes. Perhaps a poet-soldier can save us all from ourselves.
