upon the stream - a quiet day

upon the stream - a quiet day

A Poem by Michael Oliver
"

improvisation

"

Not some shadows but random ripples

Flows the sunlight to my understanding

Over the river bed real ideals

The observed water of my imposition

Last week in conversation they budded

Over forgotten conflicts by day passaging

Pastel flowers today are triumphs faded

As leaves curl against the peach

A white flick amongst rosemary bloom

Time touched in a present silence

The world behind me loses grip

A fresh soil primes these instances

Michael Oliver,
Life is for living and never stays the same. This was really a great lesson on leaving past experience and living anew! thankyou for writing.............Kathy

fresh soil, fresh understanding...

the old impositions fade by the stream that runs forward, not backward.

and that world of negative memories loses its grip...

past triumphs will fade quickly...yet there are more waiting to bloom...

nicely expressed...such intense imagery accompanying theme.

I like capturing the world in various mediums for a long time I was a painter, but more recently I realize the same imperative can be used to direct words as well as brushes. more..
