Observations

Observations

A Poem by Michael Oliver
"

Ideas , notes from life , idle thoughts

"

      So, the book shop

      Second hand books

      Second hand tales

      And fading lives

      Perched in sunshine

      The bird has a muse

      So, contemplating

      Remembers Hokusai

      At the edge of time

      Sometimes we fall off

      Into an unknown

      The sparrow once knew

      The pink sweater

      Tied with panache

      About his neck

      Leading his dog

       Behind the pet

       The retinue

       Just keeps apace

       With her trolley

       And here we are

       Look we are sat

       Cappuccinos

       Guide or screen swipes

i like these observations....makes me a bit sad...our only local bookstore closed recently...was a great place for us local authors.
but the old days are long gone...and the little shops can barely if at all, exist.
