Corruption

Corruption

A Poem by Lost in Wonderland
"

My sonnet for english. My topic was Innocence vs. Experience Enjoy:) (btw please read the authors note if you are a sonnet expert)

"

Leaves of autumn in her beautiful hair

A smile so bright it outshines the night stars

Glowing and warming sunshine everywhere

Innocence of a child that knows no wars

Lovely, inticing skin with no blemish

She would never commit an act of sin

Even the thought of it causes goose-flesh

Sweet girls like this is where my work begins

I turn on my gaze, oh so seductive

She looks at me with naive, pure eyes

The charm begins since I am productive

She knows not that these tales are only lies

Soon the virtuous girl shall surely see

How truely sinister this world can be

Lost in Wonderland
I know this isn't in iambic pentameter, but I wrote this before I knew that sonnets had to be in iambic pentameter. Hope you enjoy though

It's an amazing poem! Yes I did enjoy it, very dark and innocent at the same time, great mix!

Chilling and beautiful and a very good sonnet. I write poetry too, but I don't know anything about iambic pentameter.
