Who was right, who was wrong

Who was right, who was wrong

A Poem by midnight mystry

He was like a dream, too good to be true

She was the map to unravel him, everything about him she knew.

But then again there is difference between to know and to understand

If only his thoughts could be scanned.

All she ever spoke was about honesty, then how come she committed such trips?

When she had certain things on her mind but different words were on her lips.

To handle him was a task on whole new level

For him to be angel, she had to be the devil.

His empathy was rewarded with apathy

But what could she do, due to her past experiences she lacked sympathy.

His priority was his ambition

But when she did the same, all she got was humiliation.

She didn’t even realize when her ego replaced her self-respect

And she stopped seeing things from his aspect

What was this absurd logic of his?

He wants her to be exactly the way he is!

Their relationship which was once exemplary cooperation, soon turned into a nasty competition where both wanted to prove that they were dominant, they were strong.

In all of this who was right, who was wrong?

the irony always in a relationship is that it is expected you grow together, look at the same direction together it is too painful to feel if the love once shared became a competition later on. a nice piece of writing and i like the use of the words,
