Lost Love

For that one person you left behind even though you wish you hadn't.

Looking back I understand that love is the right word to use

Only we can understand just how it felt to lose

Something so precious and rare as diamond dust

True love was what we called it, not a crush or lust

Life will continue on, this I know is true

Only that doesn't sound so great knowing I won't have you

Very calm I left you though I never wanted to

Even though we are miles apart I will never forget you
