a letter to you

a letter to you

A Poem by A. Wrin

please,
darling,
let me go
let the wind wash away my soul
let me wither away and die
let my tired roots run dry

do not water me
with your affections
do not warm me
with your light
trust me
i am not worth
the sacrifice

i love you
but this isn’t right

A sad letter written.
"do not water me
with your affections
do not warm me
with your light
trust me
i am not worth
the sacrifice"
The above lines. Honest and realistic thoughts. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome. A emotional ride in the poem.
This is so clever and lovely. You artfully weave sad heartbreak. I so can relate.
