Long Distance

Long Distance

A Poem by Jennifer

My world is nothing but technology.

I live in a world that is lonely.

I confide in my cell phone.

In hopes that I will not be alone.

I wrap my hand around the device.

Comforting texting will suffice.

Comfort in a text.....sad, but true. Technology has simplified so many day-t0-day tasks, but complicated relationships......I like to observe people in meetings, when they cannot text or answer phones....it is as if they have a ten-minute itch.....when they have to "connect" to something.......

Great write! :)

I can relate to these words. There were many years that I had to know that the phone was on and in my pocket or where I could see it 24 hours a day... Now days... With much therapy... I can let it sit on the counter for days at a time... But that could just be, not many people text or call. lol Perhaps I'm just in a momentary state of cell delusions, and I'll crave it again if I find people who want to talk on the phone...

In anycase... I felt these words hold truth to them and that our society is indeed....borglike in their need to stay one with the tech.

Great Ink!

it is true we have lost touch with the human element, that allows us to see life in the flesh and now, but we live for the technolgy and the world it brings.

Yea,very true feelings.
Could we call ourselves the slaves of technology?
If it is good or bad?
Please tell me how do you feel.
