One of my "celeb" poems.

Part illusion

Slight of hand

Smoke and mirrors

Dissapearing grains of sand

Endless efforts

Keeping us in awe

Topping the great ones

Dangerous acts without flaw

Refusing to settle for second best

Strategically hiding behind yourself

Weary, without rest

Weaving in and out of life's realities

Comforting your deepest darkest fears

Ironically, your catch phrase

Could be the gateway to your life without tears

And bring you the connection

You seem to unknowingly crave

 

So, "Are you ready?"....... to allow any of us to peer

Into your soul to get a glimpse of who you "really" are

Sharing your true visions of what it is you wish

From behind your illustrious star

To journey through your innermost thoughts

least your most prescious dreams

To bring to fruition a version of life 

That resembles ALL of your themes

A somewhat scary proposal

As one's vulnerabilities unfold

But without this uncharted pathway

Your treasure is out of reach to behold

But fear not sweet soul

Even if this one sided connection goes awry

Remember God loves you

Even into the darkest of night and under the most stormy of skies.

(Be careful what you wish for but be even more careful not to leave out what it is your heart truly desires.)
