The Bazaar

The Bazaar

There was a muggy feeling in the air as I paced up and down in my spot. I looked left and right, as a million thoughts raced through my mind. But the one that seemed to rule them all was "where am I?". There were some small vendors scattered here and there, all of them forgien and  strange. In front of me, a man was yelling at a child in a forgien tounge, my ears perked.

"I'm lost" I whispered under my breath. my mind was blank for all the important awnsers. I stood motionless for what seemed like hours, when a voice from behind me caused my zombistic trance to break.

"Lost?" said the voice, I whirled around, there was standing a tall slender man with smooth black hair, he was wearing a dark overcoat and a pitch black shirt, but the most striking was his pale skin. How cold one who lives in such a sunny area have such pale skin? I was think when I finally realized noticed my enviroment, the once muggy air now felt dry like a deserts grasp at my neck. I looked up and relized that the that the sun once bore down from was now covered in a blanket of clouds. But most startling was the silence, the utter silence. I looked up from my shoes and studied my surroundings once again, where the busling market once was stood a cold empty bazaar, no sign of the street vendors, the man and child no longer standing in front of a small cart. A cold feeling washed over me and an uncomfertable mist settled on the ground. The only people remaining was me and the pale man

"Not often do we see outsiders in my little bazaar, not since "IT" happened" said the man as he paced slowly down the street "IT ruined everything" he turned back to me.

" What is it?" I said in quiet voice trying to ignore the mans eyes, they were a light hazel colour, but they felt as powerful as a dagger jabbing into my lungs and slowly twisting. The man threw back his head and let out a hardy laugh

"IT was... an attack" the man said as he started towards me, my feet frozen in fear, out of the corner of eye I saw more shadowy figures emerge from the mist. I was in an intersection of the dusty streets, and one came at me from all angles, just al slowly as the man

" an attack of... supernatural intent. An enemy, they took no prisoners, everyone was killed, but not permenently." at that time the man smiled, baring a shining pair of sharply pointed canines, and at that moment, the pieces all fell together

" You're a vampire, aren't you?" I said, though it did not show, fear was building in the pit of my stomech

" oh you're smart one aren't you." he said, a hint of sarcasim in his voice " and now that you know, you must join"

" WHAT!" I said the fear breaking loose from inside me and flying out in a wave of sheer uneasyness

"Yes, we can't have the world finding out about us, do you know how many people would be trying to kill us. It would end our rule over the night sky, and we wouldn't want that happening now would we. " his voice was cold and emotionless. he neared closer and closer and put his hand on my shoulder, and at that exact moment, the fear kicked in, and so did the adrenaline, I raised my foot and kicked him hard in the shin, he toppled over, I ran like hell. I heard three more sets of foot steps behind me . Peering over my shoulder I saw the other three of the man colleges closing in fast. I felt darkness encase me. This is it. This is where I die. in all my fear, I fell into a dark hole. falling faster and fast I crashed on a hardwood floor. I quickly stood up and surveyed my surroundings. this time I saw a memerable place. my bed room. I stared at my bed, there I lay. I breathed a sigh of releif. It was all a dream. I heard the sound of flapping coats and looked up, still far away the vampieres were coming to get me, so I did to one thing that could wake me up. I rushed over to my keyboard, turned it up to full volume, and waiting for 3, 2, 1, I hit as many keys as I could at once

I sat bolt upright in my bed, and looked over at my keybored, It was turned on, but just earlier before I went to sleep, I turned it off.
