Day After Day

Day After Day

A Poem by mnicorata
"

I wrote this describing my normal emotions that carry on through the days of my life.

"

Sometimes I walk out into the new dawn

Just to see if I see a glimpse

Of what was meant not to be

So I drown out the shadow that beckons

That seeps in, day after day

I catch myself in new horizons

A desperate new adventure

As days roll past and form together

They become a part of me

The part that dares to cry out to the moon

But little do things change

They never rearrange into what I think

Into highlights of passing stages

They come out to form something bleak

Something dark and un-unique

The devils come out to play

Every so often do they call my name

A game…they catch my breath

Impede my conscious

Soul taking content full of parched enmity

A disease I call upon myself

To wither away into soft silken feathers

To lapse into the opaque dreamscape

Damning the sleepless drought

And then I awake into full view

Only to see yet another day

Dead ridden limp mass

Sliding full forth on warm carcasses

Day after day
