The Willow's Barren

The Willow's Barren

A Poem by mnicorata
"

Something I wrote describing the scenery of a dull day.

"

Waiting here all by myself

With no one here to call to

Trembling fear crawls outside

And time ticks on by through

The grayness of morning dew

Gathers upon the window pane

Leaves fall against the gutter

Causing the haunt to lull the rain

Darkness spreads in this gloom

Tearing itself across the emptiness

Shadows flicker within the light

All the needs float above the rest

Howling winds and stormy skies

Horizons change within the scene

Petals of the autumn break

Flow on by to stress the breeze

Lie me down within the lake

Carry me across upon the gust

Lightning fades in sullen shades

Between the wrecks that forms us

Splintering on across the ice

To a madness that carries west

Wandering outside the gate

A vision screams above the rest

So I stumble into the waves

Those carry on trembling fears

Resting into my floating abode

Awaiting for light to spread near

I fear that I may not be able to fully understand what you're trying to convey, and that this is poem very close to you, but I will say I enjoyed how this was written and the imagery of it. So much detail in a small space. I enjoyed reading your poem, thank you for sharing :)
