she

she

A Poem by aspen

she is the flame that engraves her own name into the very surface she gambles her life decisions upon
she has eyes that are far from tamed, gleaming at the sight of detrimental risk
she has the punch of arsenic
she is calamity upon your heart, she'll have you begging for more
she is also the sunset dripping into the horizon in the evening and soft humming of crickets in the middle of summer
she has the touch of absolute bliss, with an embrace from heaven
she smells of oranges and castor oil
she fills you with daydreams and unconditional love
she is, in fact, me

*she has the punch of arsenic*
I enjoyed reading the poem and liked how I ended. It's a great write it sort of motivates you to see yourself
and even appreciate a little.

This is a really interesting poem. I love the way it ended. Is this a personal reflection?
