lemon girl

lemon girl

A Poem by aspen

so sweet and inviting from the outside
deceit glistens against her mold, yet you're blinded by temptation.
the moment you cut through the truth and take a bite out of it,
acidic tears drip within her core and leave a bitter taste in the back of your throat.
you throw her away, cringing at the sour tang that burns the corners of your mouth.
the lemon girl sulks,
her guard torn in a million pieces, exposing her vulnerability once again.
she wonders when someone will enjoy lemons without combining them with other substances.

This is amazing. Your use of descriptive words and the way you can tell such a poetic, elegant, and chaotic poem is so impressive.
