Hate is Red

Hate is Red

A Poem by Michael Stevens

WELL beyond hate!

I didn't think I would ever truly hate

another person quite this bad; our fate

is tied to a mental eunuch--hate is red,

All the times I thought I hated someone, and said

as much, pale in comparison with the hellish anger

I feel towards the man, this truth denier,

who not only lies, a lot, he makes decisions that

are inexplicable, indefensible, and smirks like a

Cheshire cat

Hate came to visit, and we're now good friends.

For the world, our nation, and me, I hope to God it

I write for fun; I write comedy pieces and some dramatic stuff. I have no formal writing education, and I have a fear of being told I suck, and maybe I should give up on writing, and get a job makin.. more..
