Every Ounce of My love.

Every Ounce of My love.

A Poem by Monday Parker
"

First time parent.

"

We made a perfect person.

Sometimes I just look at him absolutely amazed.

Just stare at him for hours-

At his little toes… his little lips… his little fingertips.

Wondering what he will be like when he’s older

What he will do in his life.

No longer is he just this little flutter and bump within me.

I once held his soul inside of mine.

Now it is his own to do what he wishes-with our guidance and care.

He will learn and grow

Become the person he was meant to be

But for right now

I can’t help but just to gaze at him

With every ounce of my love.

Wonderful! I have an eleven month old daughter and I think I felt everything reading it as you did writing it.
