I Want You Gone

I Want You Gone

A Poem by Monday Parker

I want you gone

So then I might

Be able to forget you

But with you here on the couch next to me

I can’t see past your face

But when you are gone

I remember the secrets you kept

I remember finding “her” shirt in my bed

I remember your drug addictions

I remember the look in your eyes

While you tell me lies

But with you here

Next to me on the couch

I cant remember anything but

Your touch, your kiss

And I cant see past your face

I want you gone

So just maybe I can forget…
