Silent Questions

Silent Questions

A Poem by monike
"

This poem was written because I was feeling worried about when I would have to return to my home and my boyfriend would be going to his home 100s of miles away.

"

Smiling through clouded eyes,

Thinking of the whens and whys,

When will I break in two,

Why does one half belong to you.

Hurting on the inside,

Laughing on the outside,

Desperation hidden behind a mask,

Of silent aspirations.

Will I love you,

When you leave me,

Will I make it through,

When your eyes I cannot see.

How will I survive,

Our double sided lie,

That you want to leave me alone,

That my tatered heart will not moan,

Every day and night,

For your darkness and your light.

How, when, why.

Do I love you,

When it can only end,

So soon after tomorrow,

In heartbreak and in sorrow?
