A Shape in the Fog

A Shape in the Fog

A Poem by Domenic Stewart
"

Another poem that I just randomly felt like typing up. Was sitting around doing my homework and then thought "hey, this sounds like a good idea".

"

A Shape in the Fog

Tires screeching as I see something jump into the way,

as I was daydreaming about an age old play,

the current moment suddenly seeming like a nightmare in the day.

A horrendous crash,

my car now looking like nothing but trash,

my body suffering many a rough bash.

I pick myself up as I look for my friend,

Suddenly things feel like a dead end,

All because I wasn't watching where I was going around that bend.

I notice the ground around the road turn into a bog,

there is not a single sound, not even a swamp frog,

but now the only thought in my mind is, "What is that shape in the fog?"
