Personally speaking, I always feel more alive after having a nightmare - my nightmares always seem to be more interesting than my actual life.

And that last line is so perfect! It reminds me of how the subconscious is like some sort of raw, uncontrollable entity that surfaces every once in a while just so we can question our past actions and identities. :)
