Betrayal: An Ugly Thing

There was a time i betrayed someone... the only way to grasp what happened was to write it down... So i did.

Have you ever betrayed someone intentionally r unintentionally?

I HAVE

It happened so fast

NO TIME TO STOP AND THINK

The words come out

The action was done

BETRAYAL

Promises made; promises broken

The betrayal spoken of by an outsider

The betrayer LASHES out at another betrayer

The second betrayer showing no remorse; no guilt

FLOODED WITH QUESTIONS BUT NO ANSWERS

You clear your conscience by telling the betrayed what you have done

The betrayed asks many questions which remain unanswered.

The betrayed filled with anger, curiosity and a few choice words

IT WAS EXPECTED BY THE BETRAYED; HAVING IT HAPPEN SO MANY TIMES BEFORE

They forgive you, but that's not enough

You can't forgive yourself!

Author's Note

I'm not sure exactly what to call this piece. So i selected the closest thing Self-Help poem. All suggestions are welcome. Oh, please ignore grammatical errors.

I like the last two lines of the poem the best. It's okay to write randomly sometimes...it helps express emotion and gives you ideas for other poems. Good job. Thanks. -Amy
