Bitter Sweetness

Bitter Sweetness

A Poem by Michelle Lea
"

bitter sweet love

"

Bitter and sweet__

till the end

A duo that was__

destined for disaster

A combination__

without blend

We didn't care__

it just didn't matter

He was almost always mad...
She was most definately sad...

A mixture of wrong__
like a sad country song

It's like the taste of

bitter sweet wine~~~~~

Sometimes sweet...
Sometimes bitter...
but sour most of the time

Even though she knew__

she didn't understand why

Even though he knew__

he still couldn't tell her why

So she cries...
So he cries...

Bitter sweet love__
with a bitter ending

Bitter sweet love__
till the day we die.

Very interesting. It's like that old saying "oposites attract" isn't always the case, at least perminently. Very good take on this topic

A different take on love, found it interesting...not sure if it's like a country song...guess it 's how you look at it...different people perceive different things when poetry is read...will say it was a nice read and I found it a pleasure in doing so. Thanks for sharing. PW

It was great poem to read becuase of the description between flavors and love. the end of the poem was the best for me. "He cries then she cries bitter sweeet love" I like that line of the poem.
