At some point everyone needs to stop looking back, and focus on the future.

That's what everyone keeps saying

Everyone keeps telling me

That I have to stop living in the past

I have to stop looking back

But here’s the thing

What if I'm paralized?

What if I can't move?

My head says stop

My heart begs for mercy

My eyes want to be shut

My soul can't take it no more

Please, Stop

I repeat to myself

You can't live like this

I repeat to myself

The future scares me

It's the fear of the unknown

What if the future was the past?

What if my past is my future?

Past and future

It has to be the same

Because this way I can know

What the future holds

But I can't live in the past

The past never lasts

The past is not the future

I have to stop looking back
