Reality

sometimes it's just harsh

Looking upon these memories reminds me of the past

times filled with forever and everything will last

with friendship being unbreakable

and love being unmistakable

being so naive and care free

being so blind so unable to see

no such thing as hatred or being able to fall

until lies and deceit brought realization to us all

friendships became breakable

love became mistakable

knowledge was gained of heartache and pain

things were done in revenge through hatefulness and vain

happiness was replaced with that empty feeling

gone like the smiling and encouraging healing

the memories were of smiles and laughter and fun

though they ended quickly the moment reality had begun
