Tequila Sunrise

Getting ready to go out for the night

 

Polka dots and leopard prints

Pinks and bows and girly things,

Scraps of make-up on the sheets,

Socks discarded, exposed feet.

Toenails red and fingers blue

To match the handbag and the shoes.

Perfume resting on display.

Pick the pungent one, and spray.

Heels are on and hair’s gone down.

A night for clubbing in the town.
