Kicking up a bobbery

Kicking up a bobbery

A Poem by Jim W White

The night sticks on my window

sirens through my corridors

all my prisoners

with yer chinese whispers

listen up and be set free/

Be my loudhailer

my killer megaphone

Lend me your sound /

chew through the power cable

crash the system

right now

do it quick/

lastnight still echoes:

stolen hearts pawned for

moody gold

cash flowing

through our nightmares/

another night might

wake the hounds

with tremors of

counterfeit love

This is such a succinct and poignant poem, very vivid and the rhythm is fantastic. I especially loved the image of:

stolen hearts pawned for

moody gold

cash flowing

through our nightmares
