Soul's Inner Peace

My soul is a lifesaver.

My past chases me often
I run with nowhere to hide
I feel the walls closing in
My mind is battered
My body can not take no more abuse
The world is close to breaking me

Suddenly a warm aura envelops me
My soul heard my cries
It washes me with a sense of hope
Peace flows in next
I sigh in relief

For a moment everything feels right
I know once I open my eyes
I will face it all again
For now I allow myself a few more moments
I never know when I will get the chance again

this was a rlly emotional poem and i can totally relate to it too...i did see something though...i think...

"My body can not take no more abuse" ---> I think it should be..."My body can't take anymore abuse."
