Glittery Sunset

Glittery Sunset

A Poem by Huggy Bear

the sun setting

Previous Version
This is a previous version of Glittery Sunset.

As the world grows quiet
The sun bows out gracefully
As it sets
The sun shows a different side
Like the fall

The sun changes color
It goes from a brilliant yellow
To a dim and
warm orange glow
It dips ever so slowly
It grants us  time

To witness its softer side
before it goes to the other side of the world
It envelopes the landscape

Showering the world with tranquility

Very good concept and execution overall. I agree the first stanza could be better.

Nice work. I have a problem with the first stanza in general. Too simple and doesn't demonstrate the talent that I know you have. Too dull. Especially, the third line. "As it sets" As it sets? Sets? I need more. Adjectives, anything. Otherwise, nice job on doing the requirements.

Nothing as beautiful as a beautiful sunset. A six pack of beer and a lot of time with the sunset. A good night. A outstanding poem.
