Death By Choice

Death By Choice

A Poem by Huggy Bear
"

A theoretical illustration of the dilemma posed by the need to make a decision between two equally attractive proposals.

"
A man walks with such pain
He is wounded
Blood gushes out like a water fountain
He will die if he does not find help

Soon he come across two hospitals
Both hospitals are the best
Yet they are exactly the same
The man eyes feverishly at both hospitals

Sweat drips down his forehead
In his mind he knows if does not choose
He will die
So he summons his will

He starts towards the left hospital
As he journeys over he stops cold
Frustration builds
The man drops to his knees crying

He wants someone to make the choice for him
The man knows that there is no choice between the two
Yet he can not make the choice
Minutes later he dies of major blood loss

Our choice is what we think is better
Here there was no better choice
The man dies due to man's desire to choose
Choice kills

Sometime death is the easy way out. I lost two brothers to suicide. I was lucky. I was always hard headed and mean. I believe I will make them pay then allow them to dance on my grave. Poem is powerful We always have choices. A sad ending to a excellent poem.

"In his mind he knows if does not choose" missing a word here... maybe a "he" between if and does. And on a content basis... why would there be two hospitals operating two different Emergency Rooms, next to each other? That doesn't make sense to me.

I would say we are slaves to bad choices don't you think?

Different. Good description in showing the character: what he's thinking and what's happening. However, this simply wasn't for me. Sry.
