Lies In Her Eyes

Lies In Her Eyes

A Poem by Annabel Lee

The colors have faded from her damaged and soggy eyes
they're dull, lifeless, but hidden behind are the lies
the lies, in plenty, that have hidden the little girl in the dark she can't stand being trapped here
cold and dark, with her lifeless yet beating heart
the colors have faded from my eyes
my damaged and soggy eyes.
