Cold

Cold

A Poem by nakerjay

Cold is gripping my heart

Though the sun burns bright

Strength is leached from bones

As my blood turns to ice.

I still hear the laughter

Ringing loudly in the crisp air

Shouts so full of joy

Begin fading to nowhere.

The smile once known

Now forever is gone

Replaced with this sorrow

As your death, I now mourn.
