Storm Clouds

Storm Clouds

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Storm Clouds

Pretty Good job Oct 13, 2008

Storm clouds brings rolling thunder

Clapping loudly in our ears

Shivering and huddling under

Umbrellas as we express our fears

Storm clouds bring flashing lightning

Streaking across the sky

Jagged lights are so frightening

Hissing the thunder’s loud reply

Storm clouds bring torrents of rain

Drenching hill and dale

Running down my windowpane

And splashing in the pail

Storm clouds bring many frowns

For God’s children everywhere

Jumping at those frightening sounds

Each whispering a tiny prayer

God in heaven sent this stormy maze

Knowing that our prayers would come

But if we prayed on sunny days

God wouldn’t have snapped his thumb

Did He get your attention?

I liked this. One typo in the first line "clouds brings" should just be "bring". Nice descriptions.
