Founding Father

Founding Father

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

I did more than just fly a kiteBen Franklin (1706-1790)

I could have been President of these United States
but I chose to ber a statesman and help others on
their way. I was great help to Washington and Adams
but my star shined brighter as an inventer. You would
know of bifocals or have heating for your home. I made

the future more comfortable for the next generation.

I'm a
Founding
Father in this
Country don't
You know me
Who am I can you guess?
A little key
At the end
Of my kite
Made me
The one
Responsible for
Electric lights
I always knew
The flashes
Seen in the
Dark Night sky
Would be the
Light Light
Light Light
Light Light
Light Light
TOSHINE TO SHINE
