Dreams

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Dreams

Dreams fill a soulful mind.

In the night, eyes are blind.

Viewing what the mind can see.

It’s an out of focus picture harmony.

Colors explode in the mind.

Into shapes intertwined.

Voices call out throughout the night.

Awaken suddenly as sparks ignite.

Its memory is suddenly gone.

Eyes awaken to the dawn.

Try as you may to reenact.

Moment’s gone; it won’t come back.
