Hope for Tranquility

Hope for Tranquility

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Hope for Tranquility

Tranquility is
Quiet, calm
Stillness, silence
Meaning peaceful, tranquil
Composed, unruffled
Poised, collected
Serene, quietude
A harmony in the soul
Serenity of spirit
Hearts relaxed

sardinia - sea on a choppy day

Whispers are
Murmurs, sighs
Speaking softly
Mumbling, muttering
Hear humming, buzzing
Bringing secrets
Clandestine moments
Into noise all around
Causing hushing sounds
To envelop

A choppy sea Pictures, Images and Photos

Scream ring out
Heed crying
Shouting, screeching
Yelling, shrieking
Bawling, squealing
Yelping, yapping
Causes commotion
Uproars, upheaval
Turmoil, hubbub
Disorder, hullabaloos

waves Pictures, Images and Photos, waves Pictures, Images and Photos

Chaos ensues
Anarchy, disarray
Bedlam, mayhem
Pandemonium
Wreaking havoc
Inflicting pain
On people
Everywhere
Throughout
Countries at war

Calm Sea Pictures, Images and Photos

Peace sees happiness
Contentment, pleasure
Gladness, cheerfulness
Gleeful joy
Blissful delight
Hope

Tranquility. We could all use a little of that in our lives; or more of it would be more to the point.
Lovely images you have chosen, as the reader says below.

Thank you for your entry into the 100 Word Challenge (3).

Word Count: 100
Repeat of Words: Zero. Great!!!

I like how you find some many different words that describe tranquility & chaos.

Your poem has now been qualified. Good Luck!

A fine cornucopia of words! I do like the last snap of the world like it is on a spin and creating an

aura around itself.

If you like serenity that much, I have a poem on it I can e-mail it to you if you

like.

p.s.

I enjoyed the beautiful scenery you have chosen for the pictures,
to display the visuals for inner calmness, what I felt within when reading through your
intelligent 100 words, never duplicated.

I believe within all humanity of humankind is the preference of the tranquility,
hearts relaxed. Not even the coldest entity or darkest, gruesome
evil, really war within, could truly ever contemplate wanting nothing more than
peace within.
