Queen of Confusion

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Queen of Confusion

Queen of confusion

Royalty of the realm

Your foolishness surrounds you

Leaving only death ~ and

Destruction in your wake

Explosions erupt

Taking peace from this world

Our future is uncertain

We’ve grown up today

Living in a sinful world ~ where

No one cares anymore

Sinful natures run rampant

Flowers wilt in your presence

Leaving a stench in place of perfume

Poison spews from your lying mouth

Like in acid we are consumed

We are what you have made us

Through confusion, destruction ~ and

Uncertainty, a sinful nation is raised

We are your future ~ and

You reap what you sow

But there is still hope

When all is said and done

Parents listen to your children

Remember what it was like to be young

Children meet your parents at least half way

There role will be yours on some future day
