IF I WON THE LOTTERYA Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader
IF I WON THE LOTTERY
If I won the lottery And a million dollars were mine I would find a cure for cancer And pray it came in time
To save my dearest husband From the torture and the pain And fill our hearts with gladness And my tears won’t fall like rain
He’s always loved and cared for me Through good times and the bad I watch his uphill battle And it really makes me mad
If there is anyone out there And has a million dollars to spare Invest it in cancer research Till then I’ll rely on prayer
For prayer can make a difference And faith can turn the tide And bring about a healing In God I can confide
I do not need a million dollars Only faith the size of a mustard seed Then I can move a mountain Allowing God to take the lead
