Butterfly Queen

Butterfly Queen

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Butterfly Queen

always Pictures, Images and Photos

Butterfly Queen seeks advice from the raven

In the day of the butterfly dance

She speaks of intimate pleasure

And she catches only a glance

She holds the light sword in her hand

Ready to embed it in stone

Her true love will soon intervene

Retrieving the sword so she’s never alone

Will my true love win my heart?

Speak dark raven; tell me true

And pull the sword from the stone

Intertwining my love anew

Open your heart dark raven

Whisper sweet love in the air

Fly away yonder to paradise

Join me if you dare

My butterfly wings are delicate

Your wings stronger than mine

We will fly into the sunset

You’ll be the prince and I’ll be thine

Dark raven transform in a moment

My true love you will be

We’ll shed our wings together

Your love will always complete me

My magic wings will intertwine with yours

Our hearts will beat now as one

Intermingled together

Soar to the rising sun

Dance little butterflies dance

And join our wedding feast

Dark Prince will be your King

Our union now blessed by the priest

Dark Raven whisper your vow

Grow the wings of a butterfly and sigh

No longer the black bird of the forest

We are now King and Queen Butterfly
