Haiku Stupid CupidA Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader
Hearts blooming in love Flowers and candy galore Taste Valentine’s Day Boy’s heart in a spin Wearing his heart on his sleeve Chocolate splatters love Will she or won’t she Whisper the words I love you Be my Valentine He gets up his nerve Marches right up to her door Flowers behind his back He looks all around Oh where is stupid cupid With bows and arrows Sure could use some help One arrow is sufficient To win a girl’s heart She opens the door A big smile upon her face And love in her eyes Captures the moment He has spent his last dollar Gold heart on a chain He’s nervous no more Who needs ole Stupid Cupid? Her heart, his to hold Haiku Stupid Cupid
